Miso Ma Po Tofu


Ingredients:

Tofu-1 Box (Soft)
Pork Lean Ground Meat-80g
Grind Ginger-10g
Grind Garlic-10g
Paprika-5g
Green onion-10g
Water-100g
Corn starch-1 teaspoon
Sesame oil-1/2 teaspoon

Sauce Ingredients:
Miso-2 big teaspoons
Chili sauce-1/2 big teaspoon
Sugar-1/2 big teaspoon
Salt-some
Chicken Stock-1 teaspoon
Chinese Rice wine-1 small teaspoon

Method:
1. Chop tofu into small chunks. Put them in a small bowl and add boiled water. Soak them for 5 mins.
2. Heat the pan and add the ground meat.  Cook it with high heat(no need to add oil because fat will come out from the ground meat) When it’s 80% done, add grind ginger, garlic, and Chili sauce. Continue to stir them around. (If you find it’s a little dry, you can add 1 teaspoon of olive oil)
3. Turn the heat to medium. Add tofu, paprika, green onion, water and all the sauce ingredients.  Gently stir them around.
4.  Turn the heat to low and add corn starch water. (Before you add the corn starch, make sure they are mixed well. Otherwise, it will becomes chunks)
5.  Add sesame oil at the end
6.  Serve

Stir Fry Five Spices Tofu w/ Chives

Ingredients:
Five spices tofu-1 package
Chives- 5 (You can put more if you want.)
Chilli-1
Chicken stock powder-1 teaspoon

Method:
  1. Chop all the ingredients into chunks. 
  2. Heat the pan and add one teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Cook Five spices tofu and chili.
  3. Continue to add Chives. Quickly stir them around.
  4. Add one teaspoon of chicken stock powder. Stir them around.
  5. Serve.

Sir Fry Tofu

Ingredients:
5 spices toful 6 pices (Cut them into small pieces)
Drid mushrooms (need to soake them in the water)
Shallot 5-8 pcs or deep fried shallot 5 teaspoons.
Soy sauce 1 big teaspoon
Sugar-some
White pepper and some 5 spices powder

Method:
  • Heat the pan and add 3-4 big teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil. Add shallot or deep fried shallot into the pan. Cook until you can smell them.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until you can smell them. Add tofu and quickly stir.
  • Add soy sauce, sugar and 5 speices powder. Cook until the tofu turned color.
  • Spray white pepper
  • Serve

Mapo Tofu

Ingredients:
Tofu-1 Box (Soft)
Pork Lean Ground Meat-80g
Grind Ginger-10g
Grind Garlic-10g
Paprika-5g
Green onion-10g
Water-100g
Corn starch-1 teaspoon
Sesame oil-1/2 teaspoon
Ingredients sauce:
Chili Bean sauce-2 big teaspoons
Chili sauce-1/2 big teaspoon
Sugar-1/2 big teaspoon
Salt-some
Chicken Stock-1 teaspoon
Chinese Rice wine-1 small teaspoon

Method:
1. Chop tofu into small chunks. Put them in a small bowl and add boiled water. Soak them for 5 mins.
2. Heat the pan and add the ground meat.  Cook it with high heat(no need to add oil because fat will come out from the ground meat) When it’s 80% done, add grind ginger, garlic, Chili bean sauce and Chili sauce. Japanese Miso Soup


Ingredients:

Tofu (soft kind)-1
Water-2/3 cup
Miso paste and garnish packages. ( I bought the instant miso soup packages from T&T. They come with different flavours. The one I made is Fried Bean Curd)

Method:

1. Boil the water in a small pot. Cook tofu with low heat for 5 mins.
2. Add miso paste and garnish bags. Mix them gently
3. Serve.

Japanese Teriyaki Tofu-照燒豆腐




Ingredients:
Tofu (firm) ,ginger 2pieces, corn starch, white sesame, Japanese Katsuobushi - Dried Bonito Flakes

Sauce:
Mirin 2 big spoon
Soy sauce 2 big spoon
Sugar1 big spoon
Water 1 big spoon
(you can adjust the flavor, according to your preference)

Method:
1.Sit tofu for 20-30 mins on a plate, and then drain the water that come from the tofu,.
Slice them into 1.5cm (thick) pieces
2. Chop ginger into small pieces
3. Coat tofu with corn starch (a thin layer)
4. Heat the pan and put 4-5 big teaspoon of oil, and fry the tofu until they turn into gold color. Then, take them out.
5. The same cooking pan, leave about 1 big teaspoon oil, put the ginger in
6. cook all the sauce ingredients
7. When it’s boiling, put the tofu in.
8. Cook them until the tofu have some color and the sauce becomes thicker
9. Serve with white sesame and Japanese Katsuobushi - Dried Bonito Flakes
